Other Information

The EAP course will prepare you for University study in the UK, IELTS (the International English Language Testing Systems) examination and formal workplace communication.

During the course you will learn how to deal with challenging reading texts on a variety of subjects, write reports, dissertations and formal letters. You will learn how to work within strict time limits and develop your reading, writing, examination, academic and job interview techniques. You will be expected to carry out a number of compulsory homework assignments and research tasks. You will practise your listening skills by listening to authentic seminars and lectures and also complete in-class examination practice sessions, which will be carried out under exam conditions.

Finally, the course includes a significant amount of background information about British public life, culture, academia, current affairs and general knowledge.
