Bishopstrow College offers a number of programmes offering English language and academic study.
The Junior College Programme is for international students aged 7-11 years and consists of academic study for Prep School and 11+ Senior School entry. The Programme includes 25 hours of academic tuition and 5 hours of supervised prep. In addition, there are daily sports and activities and a full-day weekend excursion. Each student has an Individual Learning Plan (updated regularly), with weekly assessments and tutorials. Preparation for entrance examinations and interviews (in relation to transition to a mainstream boarding school) is also provided.
The Middle College Programme is for international students aged 11-14 years and consists of academic study for 13+ Senior School entry. The Programme includes 25 hours of academic tuition and 5 hours of supervised prep. In addition, there are daily sports and activities and a full-day weekend excursion. Each student has an Individual Learning Plan (updated regularly), with weekly assessments and tutorials. Preparation for entrance examinations and interviews (in relation to transition to a mainstream boarding school) is also provided.
The Pre-IGCSE/IGCSE Programme is for international stuents aged 14-17 years and consists of academic study for Senior School entry, incluidng preparation for GCSEs, A Levels and the International Baccalaureate. The Programme includes 30 hours of academic tuition and 7.5 hours of supervised prep. In addition, there are daily sports and activities and a full-day weekend excursion. Each student has an Individual Learning Plan (updated regularly), with weekly assessments and tutorials. Preparation for entrance examinations and interviews (in relation to transition to a mainstream boarding school) is also provided.
The Academic Summer Programme is aimed at international students who will be joining British boarding schools in the Autumn. The programme helps students feel more confident and ready for study at their new school. The Programme is also suitable for students who want to have a taste of life at a British boarding school or who want to study hard during the summer and then return home.
