At Twin Towers English College, we offer Exam English Courses at all levels, leading to the most important University of Cambridge ESOL examinations.

IELTS is the world's most popular exam for entering higher education.

Educational institutions, employers and government immigration agencies require proof of English language skills as part of their recruitment or admission procedures. Increasingly, these organisations are choosing IELTS.

There are two different IELTS modules: General Training and Academic.

The General Training format focuses on testing general survival skills in broad social and workplace contexts. It is typically for those who are going to English-speaking countries to do secondary education, work experience or training programmes.

The Academic format is for those students wishing to study or train in an English-speaking university or institute of Higher and Further Education. Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on the results of the Academic IELTS test.

IELTS is a multi-level exam. There is no pass or fail, but students receive a score out of 9. The majority of UK universities require a score between bands 5.5 and 7.5, which equate to from upper intermediate to high advanced level.
