The Standard General Course takes place throughout the year and students may join this course on any Monday. The morning is divided into two parts and two teachers usually share the class. The first part of the morning concentrates on grammar and structure of the language. The second part concentrates on communication skills. The course is designed to improve students’ abilities to use language accurately and fluently while concentrating on the skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing.

The course is based on the most up-to-date methodology, course books and authentic materials. Students are assessed on their first day and following a written and oral exam, are then placed in a class at their appropriate level. All long term students are assessed every four weeks and both student and agents are given a report updating their progress.
