The English Winter Programme is ideally suited to overseas students or anyone who wishes to visit the North of England, improve their English Language proficiency and have the opportunity to meet other students from around the world.  The course is supplemented by a lively evening and weekend social programme.

You will study English for a minimum 20 hours per week. This will include at least 14 hours of core language and 6 hours of Intergrated Skills with British and Manchester Cultural Studies. 

A wide and varied social programme is offered to students through the University of Manchester's Students Union. Evening activities and weekend day trips within Greater Manchester, the North-West and the UK are offered to students on the course. Evening activities could include barbecues, film nights and music evenings. Weekend day trips may be to places such as York, Liverpool, Oxford and the Lake District.
