Who is the course for?

This course is designed for students who want to improve their English skills for everyday communication in English, both written and spoken.

Price includes tuition and course book.

Aims of the Course

The General English Intensive course enables students to review and extend what they learn in the standard class, to get a deeper understanding of the English language. The course helps students become more fluent in their spoken English.

Course Outline

Our General English course is based on the methods that suit learners best! On this course you will get plenty of practice speaking, listening, reading and writing in English, as well as help with vocabulary, grammar and punctuation, using carefully chosen course materials. We use the communicative language approach and task based learning to ensure that you will get practical English knowledge and all the tools to enhance your English language skills.

If you choose our General English (Intensive) course and are Intermediate+ level you will have the opportunity to choose from the following electives for your extra classes which will make up 6 lessons of your course:

English in the Workplace - For students who are about to/have recently entered employment (e.g. recent graduates). A focus on business concepts e.g.meetings, negotiating etc. as well as functional language.

Academic Skills - For students currently studying or intending to study in the medium of English. 

Communication Skills - An emphasis on skills and vocabulary development based around a different topic each week.

Students below Intermediate level will be placed into this class. 

As of the 29th March, there will be 2 new electives:

- English for Healthcare Professionals

- English for Tourism and Hospitality. These electives will help you personalise your course and help you achieve your goals.
