This course is designed for students who want to improve their English skills for everyday communication in English, both written and spoken.

Aims of the Course

The General English course enables students to improve all aspects of their language and become more confident in communicating in English

Course Outline

Courses run for 12 weeks at a time, but students can start on any Monday of the year and stay for as long or as short a time as they want. The course is based around recognised and successful textbooks, such as the Headway, Cutting Edge and English File series. All four English skills are taught:  Listening, speaking, reading and writing, plus grammar, syntax and vocabulary.

In addition to textbooks, the course uses authentic sources, such as radio, TV, newspapers and internet to make the lessons truly interesting, engaging and useful.

The school uses the "communicative approach" to teaching, so students can get a real feel for the English language.
