This course will help students to prepare for the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam. This exam is based around four skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
All the skills are focused on academic study. For example: The speaking section is based on giving a short presentation, the listening section is based on taking notes, as you would in a university lecture. There is also a focus on academic reading, writing and exam techniques to prepare you for the widely recognised IELTS test which is accepted by university admissions throughout the world as an indicator of your level of English
The exam preparation lessons are four times per week, and there is also a high level of self study involved. Each week the class does a past paper test, to prepare students for the exam.
There are three types of IELTS classes: IELTS Introduction, IELTS Foundation, preparing students from level 3.0-5.0 and IELTS Preparation preparing students from level 5.0-7.0
Our exam tutors a very experienced in the techniques needed to pass the exam, and very committed to helping students get the grade they need. If you provide the work, they will provide the knowledge and support.
The IELTS exam can be arranged at Liverpool University, very close to the school or for UKVI purposes in Manchester.
