For the leaders of the future, this course is designed for students who want to develop the skills needed to become a confident, effective leader in whatever career they choose. In this conference style course, designed to develop leadership skills, students will enjoy a series of lectures, workshops and seminars as well as collaborating on practical projects.
The Thames Valley Future Leaders course is designed to:
Integrate the four STEM strands (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)
Draw inspiration from TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) talks and guest speakers
Improve English skills, fluency and confidence
Broaden students' understanding of the role of a leader
Develop students' practical skills for effective leadership such as critical thinking, problem solving and decision making
Enhance team working skills and encourage students to network with other students from around the world
Refine students' skills in presenting, debating and public speaking
