This is a full time, immersion English language courses and you will be in class every day; listening to, practising and speaking English. The courses were designed to give you confidence in communicating in an English speaking environment. You will also have time to explore and enjoy London with Lexis or independently and even visit other UK cities at the weekends.

Reading

  • Reading for gist i.e to understand the general meaning of a text
  • Reading for specific detail
  • Understanding different kinds of text e.g. emails, letters, text messages, articles, reports, reviews, instructions

 

Writing

  • Writing different kinds of text e.g. emails, letters, text messages, articles, reports, reviews, instructions
  • Using the appropriate style / register i.e. formal vs informal language
  • Organising your text so it is easy to read
  • Expressing your ideas so that the reader can understand what you want to say

 

Listening

  • Listening for gist i.e. to understand the general meaning
  • Listening for specific detail
