 English Plus is for students who want lots of English classes and who want to learn about British culture and society. This British Culture course is designed to give students an introduction life in the UK. Please see the list of British Culture topics below. Many students who take this course are considering applying to a British Boarding School in the future.

The fees include:

  • 27 hours of tuition per week following the Trinity College GESE Course
  • Accommodation in supervised boarding houses
  • Three hot meals per day in the central dining hall
  • Two full-day excursions at the weekend
  • One half-day excursion on Wednesdays
  • A full programme evening activities
  • Commemorative DVD
  • Report
  • Certificate of attendance
  • GESE Exam (& Certificate if exam is passed)

 

British Culture topics include: Country and People; UK Geography; The Economy and Everyday Life; History; British Identity; British Attitudes; The British Class System; International Relations; The Media; UK Education System; UK Arts; UK Political Life; The Monarchy; Government, Parliament and Elections; The Legal System and the Law; UK in the EU; The UK and the US.

Possible weekend full-day excursions include:

  • Birmingham and Cadbury Chocolate World
  • London Museums and Shopping
  • London Olympics Park
